The five richest people in the world, according to Forbes, have significantly increased their wealth over the past week. Elon Musk remains in first place: his fortune increased by $18.9 billion, from $708 billion to $726.9 billion (but we can forget about the June jump to trillionaire for now).
In second place is Google co-founder Larry Page. His fortune increased by $18.7 billion to $292.7 billion. The largest weekly increase among the leaders was shown by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos: his capital increased by $32.7 billion to $278.7 billion, thanks to which he rose from fourth to third place.
Google co-founder Sergey Brin, despite an increase in his fortune by $17 billion, to 270 billion, dropped from third to fourth place. Michael Dell closes the top five: his fortune increased by $16.5 billion to $244.5 billion.
Thus, over the week, the fortunes of the world’s five richest people increased by a total of about $103.8 billion.
At the same time, Mark Zuckerberg, co-founder of Meta, is not among the top five in the Forbes ranking for the second week in a row; his financial condition is slightly deteriorating.
