The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Direct Investment Promotion Authority, Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al-Mohammed, issued a ministerial decision in which he doubled the value of fees for about 20 services provided by the Direct Investment Promotion Authority, to range between 30 and 300 dinars, instead of the previous fees, which ranged between 10 and 100 dinars.

In detail, Al-Nasser issued Ministerial Resolution No. 182 of 2022 amending the list of prescribed fees for services provided by the Direct Investment Promotion Authority, as the first article of the decision stated the amendment of fees stipulated in Article 1 of Ministerial Resolution No. 503 of 2014. The decision specified about 5 services It is priced at 300 dinars, which is an application for licensing a Kuwaiti company, a request to license a branch of a foreign company, a request for a license to open a representative office for a foreign company, a request to grant benefits and exemptions, a request to amend the investment entity, and the decision price is 3 services at 150 dinars, which is the issuance of the investment license, its renewal, and a replacement for lost or corrupted him.

The price of the decision is about 12 services for 30 dinars, which are extracted from the investment license, the issuance of a customs exemption certificate, its amendment and renewal, and the replacement of lost and damaged ones, in addition to a certificate of registration in the investment register, replacement of lost and damaged ones and the official extract thereof, notation in the investment register, and a request to write off or Deletion of the entry, a certificate stating that the write-off or deletion occurred, and other certificates and extracts. It is noteworthy that in mid-December 2014, the Director General of the Direct Investment Promotion Authority, Sheikh Dr. Mishaal Al-Jaber, announced the issuance of the list of prescribed fees for the services provided by the Direct Investment Promotion Authority under Ministerial Resolution No. 503 of 2014. He explained that the prescribed fees for the services of the Authority range from 10 dinars and 100 dinars and covers the services of applications, issuance of certificates and official extracts according to their types.
