“This place has a wonderful history”: Alexis Michalik takes the reins of the Hébertot theater in Paris

Star of the stage for fifteen years with successful productions – “Edmond”, which has already brought together a million spectators, “Passeport”, “Le Porteur d’histoire” – Alexis Michalik, winner of numerous Molières, is preparing to take a new step by taking the reins of a theater in Paris. It will be the Hébertot theater, in the 17th arrondissement of Paris.

The forty-year-old, who develops less visible but equally successful production activities within the company Acme Production founded with his friends Benjamin Bellecour and Camille Torre, will preside over the artistic destiny of the place. But not alone. He gets involved with Bellecour and Torre, but also with Caroline Verdu, the director of the Pépinière (Paris II), a venue where Michalik created “Le Cercle des illusionnistes” in 2014 and where “Intra Muros” has been performed for years, and with whom Acme often co-produces.
