Despite the rumors of a breakup: Meryl Streep and Martin Short model a relationship

For two years now, Hollywood has been swirling with rumors surrounding a romantic relationship between Oscar-winning actress Meryl Streep (76) and comedian Martin Short (76), despite the fact that the two are careful to deny and have never officially confirmed their relationship.

At the beginning of the year Short suffered a severe disaster, when his daughter Catherine (42) took her own life. Since then, quite a few reports have surfaced overseas according to which the two decided to part ways in the shadow of the heavy grief that befell the actor and his family. But now, it seems that the relationship is actually stronger than ever: the two were spotted together on a romantic vacation in London, where the paparazzi caught them dining in a prestigious restaurant, sitting close to each other on the same side of the table and looking the most in love ever.

Streep and Short first sparked romance rumors after they looked very close at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards. Last October, Page Six reported that Streep and her husband, sculptor Don Gummer, had secretly separated more than six years ago, after 40 years of marriage. The former couple share four children. In contrast, Short was married to actress Nancy Doleman from 1980 until her death in 2010.
