Provisional prison decreed for the six detained for the death of the singer Matías de Paula

The holder of position 1 of the Instance and Instruction Section of the Court of Instance of Villanueva de la Serena (Badajoz) has decreed the provisional prison, communicated and without bail for the six detained for the death of the singer Matías de Paula in said Badajoz town on May 15.

Of the six detainees who have given statements in court, one of them has declared himself the confessed author of the homicide. This person is being investigated for the alleged crimes of confessed homicide with the concurrence of membership in a criminal organization and attempted homicide, for the injuries caused to a taxi driver.

Of the other five detainees, four of them with whom the previous person is related, are being investigated for the alleged crime of homicide with the concurrence of membership in a criminal organization.

Proceedings have been opened against the sixth detainee for the alleged crime of cover-up.

The head of the Section has lifted the express secrecy of the proceedings before the statements, reports in a press release the Superior Court of Justice of Extremadura (TSJEx).
