Onde Read returns to Ponza: authors, books and meetings on the sea

The festival, completely free, was created to enhance the territory through culture and create meeting opportunities between artists, residents and travellers. After the opening on June 6th with the Transistor Choir directed by Barbara Eramo, it is now the literary festival that becomes the protagonist.

“Where to Read”, created in collaboration with the Altro Quando bookshop in Rome, will take place in an open-air editorial space overlooking the sea, set up with the historic Volkswagen vans of the 90 Fisso club. The events will be presented by Maria Francesca Gagliardi and Piji Siciliani.

On July 16th, at 10.45pm, Gino Castaldo will open the exhibition with the book Music is over.

Double meeting on July 17th: at 6.30 pm Nina Quarenghi will present the novel Confini del vento, followed at 7.30 pm by the cartoonist Stefano Drawings with the new illustrated book In their place.

The closing, on July 18th at 7.45pm, will be entrusted to Maurizio and Guido De Angelis, in art Oliver Onionswho will tell their story through words and music, performing some of their most famous hits live.

The OndeRoad summer will then continue with a special evening dedicated to Gigi Proietti: 2 August Carlotta Proiettiwith Claudio Pallottini, Ermenegildo Marciante and Andrea Bianchi, will bring Gigi Proietti on stage: teachings and chatter, taken from Pallottini’s book.

Wednesday August 19th Sant’Antonio beach will host the sound system dei 99 Possebefore the grand finale of September 3 with the Social Band & Frances Alina Ascioneprotagonists of the radio and television program Radio2 Social Club.
