Star wars Luke Skywalker’s original lightsaber, known from the movies, was sold at a US auction for around 3.3 million euros.

It is the same sword that Luke Skywalker played Mark Hamill used in the 1980 film The Empire Strikes Back. The sword is seen, for example, in the dramatic final scene where Luke Skywalker fights with Darth Vader.
The media according to the lightsaber, the starting price at the auction was one million dollars, and it was expected to sell for one to two million dollars.
The deputy director of the auction house Joe Maddalenan according to it is one of the most significant preserved Star wars – about the objects of the saga.
“It’s connected The Empire Strikes Back to an emotional climax – a scene that changed the saga forever and created one of the most unforgettable moments in film history. Collectors realized they weren’t bidding on just a movie prop. They were competing for a genuine piece of modern mythology,” says Maddalena.
Cleaning had been made by a masker Stuart Freebornwho was also involved in creating the Yoda character as well as many other masking effects for the film series. According to Heritage, the lightsaber came directly from Freeborn, who died in London on February 5, 2013.
