FIGC: players and coaches support Malagò’s candidacy

Footballers and football coaches have chosen: the candidate of the two components, as well as of Lega A, for the presidency of the Figc And Giovanni Malagò. “A little less than two months after theFederal elective assembly of June 22nd and now in sight of the last day for the presentation of candidacies for the position of president of the FIGC, Aic e Ayac have developed a shared orientation by identifying in Giovanni Malagò the person capable of responding to the many challenges of the present and above all of the future – we read in a joint note – during the meetings and discussions of the last few weeks, important convergences have emerged on the main programmatic points such as the Club Italysustainability and reforms, the technical-sports project and the women’s football; a vision of sports policy which, starting from the strong initial impulse of Serie A League who indicated it, offers ample guarantees in this delicate and important federal season in which systemic thinking is the only way forward”.

Aic and Aiac therefore hope that “Giovanni Malagò positively resolves its last reservations and is ready for further discussions that allow the focus of a common program to relaunch the FIGC and the entire Italian football system”.

Lega Serie A: “Good convergence with Aic and Aiac”

The Serie A Football Leaguein a note, states that it “welcomes” the position expressed byFootballers’ Association and fromAssoallenatori in support of the candidacy of Giovanni Malagò to the presidency of the FIGC. “We believe it is significant that these components of the football system share the indication already formulated by 19 clubs in the League – we read in the press release – this convergence represents an important signal of unity and responsibility, at a time in which the Italian football it needs vision, stability and the capacity for renewal”.
