Manchester City won the English FA Cup – a dazzling winning goal

Manchester City beat Chelsea in the FA Cup final 1–0.

Despite the meager final readings, Chelsea were ultimately unable to challenge Pep Guardiolan piloted by City in the battle for the trophy.

Chelsea’s manager Calum McFarlanen the tactic was to stifle City’s attacks already in the central area. Especially in the first half, this succeeded quite well, but at the same time there were few chances.

The winning goal was seen in the 72nd minute of the match at the end of City’s fine attacking pattern. Antoine Semenyo directed Erling Haalandin dexterously with the heel of the wing center into the bottom corner. The goal was the Ghanaian’s tenth for Manchester City.

At the end, Chelsea couldn’t make a decent chase. On the contrary, City had several chances to decide the match for good.

The title was Second of the season for Guardiola’s team. Previously, City won the league cup after defeating Arsenal 2–0 in the March final.

The FA Cup victory was City’s eighth in the club’s history.

For City manager Guardiola, this was already the 20th title during the Spaniard’s ten-year tenure.
