In the World Cup, new playoff pairs emerged

Football In the World Cup, there are already nine confirmed playoff pairs after the round of matches that ended on Saturday morning Finnish time.

  • 1.7. at 0:00: France–Sweden (New Jersey)

  • 2.7. at 3:00 a.m.: United States–Bosnia-Herzegovina (Santa Clara)

  • 3.7. at 21:00: Australia-Egypt (Dallas)

  • 4.7. at 1:00 a.m.: Argentina–Cape Verde (Miami)

The meeting between the reigning world champion Argentina and Cape Verde, the sensational country of the Games, is especially fascinating.

Sweden will face a fierce challenge when France, which has become one of the biggest champion favorites of the Games with its convincing moves, will face off.

Seven playoff pairs will make it through the last round of the group stage by Sunday morning.

Of the remaining seven pairs, some will be decided by the final placements of the J, K and L groups and some by the placement of the best group threes. Mexico, Belgium, Spain and Switzerland have already secured the next place.

In practice, the winners and runners-up of the K and L groups and the runner-up of the J group are still open. In addition, the ranking of the best block trios determines in which open spots on the chart the trios are placed.
