MMA fighter Shalie Lipp died in a car accident at the age of 21.
As various media reports unanimously, the mega-talent’s accident occurred on May 7th in the US state of Minnesota.
Lipp was a passenger in a Chevrolet Malibu when it collided with a Jeep Cherokee. According to the police, however, the American was the only person not wearing a seat belt. Accordingly, the other participants were not injured in the horror crash.
The young athlete had only recently returned to the USA from a training camp in Thailand. There she had been preparing for her upcoming major event on May 20th in Detroit Lakes, where she would have been in the ring in the main event.
The MMA star commented on Facebook in April: “My whole heart goes into training for these fights”.
Now fans and their loved ones are mourning Lipp.
Eric Sweeney, who was reportedly her personal trainer, writes: “My heart is absolutely broken. You were such a wonderful person, full of promise and drive. One of the few people I’ve ever met who really aspired to greatness.”
Now the young life was ended much too soon …
