The Prado Museum and Samsung have continued to develop activities in a hybrid style in this most recent iteration, providing educators with individualized support both through videoconferences and in-person meetings at the centers or the Museum.

With five different activities, including “I love you in painting: portraits with emotion,” aimed at older people with physical and/or cognitive impairment, this initiative promotes the accessibility of the Museum’s contents through technology. 450 participants visited a variety of artist portraits in order to make connections between the emotions the works convey and their own personal experiences.

However, the activity “Sui generis. Art, Advertising and Stereotypes,” which attracted over 470 participants, seeks to identify the gender stereotypes that art has contributed to the perpetuation of. According to a statement from the firm, it is primarily designed for Occupational Centers, Special Education Schools, and Psychosocial Rehabilitation Centers.

About 180 individuals attended the program titled “The tastes of the Prado,” which was designed for immigrants or refugees and those with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Through the still life paintings in the Museum’s collection, this activity aims to encourage discussion on food.

The event “Invincible in El Prado,” which has drawn close to a hundred participants, aims to promote conversation and invites us to explore the idea of resilience through the lives of the works’ protagonists. It is targeted at individuals with diminished mobility or brain damage as well as those who are in vulnerable social situations.

The Prado Museum and Samsung have also brought the museum’s art and culture closer to hospital centers like the Gregorio Maraón or Nio Jess in this edition, specifically to more than 100 people who were there for various reasons. This was made possible by the activity “With color verse.”
