The more compact Redmi Pad 2 arrives with a 2K screen and a large battery

Xiaomi has introduced a new series of REDMI Pad 2 9.7 tablets, a compact version of the existing REDMI Pad 2 line. The new models bring a larger screen, a larger capacity battery, improved performance and a thinner design compared to the previous generation. REDMI Pad 2 9.7 is equipped with a 9.7-inch 2K resolution screen with support for a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The screen supports a wide range of colors, and the device has three TÜV Rheinland certificates for eye protection. The maximum brightness reaches 600 nits in outdoor mode.

The tablet uses a battery with a capacity of 7600 mAh, which they say allows up to 1.7 days of use. The Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 mobile processor, manufactured in a 6-nanometer production process, with eight cores and a clock speed of up to 2.9 GHz, is responsible for the work.

REDMI Pad 2 9.7 comes with the Xiaomi HyperOS 3 operating system. Features include a refreshed user interface, a shared buffer for transferring content between Xiaomi smartphones and tablets, and the Circle to Search by Google function.

The case of the device is made in a metal unibody design, and the tablet is available in Graphite Gray and Silver colors. The thickness of the device is 7.4 millimeters. According to the manufacturer, the device has passed more than 40 durability tests.

REDMI Pad 2 9.7 is available in configurations with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB or 128 GB of internal storage. Recommended retail prices are 179 euros for the 4 GB + 64 GB model and 199 euros for the 4 GB + 128 GB model.

In the promotional period from May 28 to June 30, 2026, the models will be available at prices of 159 euros for the 4 GB + 64 GB version and 179 euros for the 4 GB + 128 GB version.
