Atlus officially announces Persona 6 on PC and consoles

SEGA’s ATLUS division has broken the deadlock by officially announcing the development of Persona 6, confirming the release of the title on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC, via the Steam and Microsoft Store platforms. Although the publisher has not yet communicated a precise launch window, the first details confirm the desire to keep intact the formula that has decreed the global success of the franchise, capable of exceeding thirty million copies sold worldwide since its inception.

The new chapter will present itself as a completely independent adventure, disconnected from the narrative events of its predecessors and characterized by a new cast of characters. The game structure will once again be based on the proven alternation between the normal school routine in contemporary Japan, made up of social relationships, friendships and sentimental bonds, and the nocturnal exploration of a parallel reality dominated by occult phenomena and urban legends. The developers underlined how the title was conceived to represent the perfect entry point even for those approaching the series for the first time, despite the thirty-year history of the brand, originally born in 1996 as a spin-off of the Shin Megami Tensei saga.
