Images of Vietnam appeared many times at Apple events

At the WWDC 2026 global developers conference, taking place on June 9 in the US, Vietnam appeared many times in presentations related to Apple Intelligence, from typical dishes, Vietnamese language to images of Hanoi.

First appeared in the demonstration of AI writing and note-taking support in the Journal application. Apple gives an example of an article recounting experiences in Hanoi with the title “Hanoi reflection”. The content describes a two-week trip in Vietnam, mentioning experiences such as having Vietnamese-style breakfast, drinking egg coffee, and watching water puppet shows. On the screen, many typical images of Hanoi such as street vendors, traditional markets and Ha Long Bay landscapes also appear in the feature illustration.

The next time comes in the introduction of Visual Intelligence, a feature that allows Siri AI to use the camera to recognize and analyze the world around it. To illustrate the ability to evaluate nutrition using AI, Apple chose the image of a bowl of chicken pho. The system identifies the dish as “Chicken Pho with Noodles, Veggies and Broth” and provides information about the dish’s nutritional content, fiber, protein and sodium content.

The third time was when Apple announced the list of languages ​​supported by the new generation Apple Intelligence. Besides English, French, German, Japanese, Korean or Chinese, Vietnamese appears in the group of languages ​​officially supported by Apple.

In addition, a number of images and names related to Vietnam also appeared briefly, such as the image of a boatman picking lotus flowers in the illustration of the Image Playground image creation feature, and a person with the last name “Nguyen” was used in the illustration for the account.

During the nearly 80-minute event, the fact that Vietnamese images and languages ​​such as “pho”, Hanoi and Vietnamese were brought to the WWDC stage showed that Vietnam was more clearly present in Apple’s performances.

For several years now, Vietnam has also been one of the markets of interest to major technology companies. For example, with Google, the Vietnamese language or the Vietnamese market is often in the group supported in the first rounds. When Apple deployed Apple Intelligence, Vietnamese was also one of the first languages ​​besides English to be supported on the Apple Intelligence feature set from 2025. In addition, Vietnam was also gradually upgraded, becoming one of the first markets globally to sell the first iPhone.

The new generation Apple Intelligence is one of the highlights at WWDC 2026. This year, Apple combined with Google to use the Gemini model to create its model. The new Apple Intelligence will be available to users with iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27 and visionOS 27 operating systems this fall.
