They turn a Tesla X into a “tank” for modern warfare: it has two rotating cannons

The automotive of Elon Musk is characterized by developing electric vehicles Tesla Model X with various state-of-the-art technologies, but it is far from being useful to fulfill a function other than as a means of transport. At least that was thought until a seasoned youtuber decided turn it into a kind of “tank” for combat.

The channel YouTube FullMag y Black Rifle Coffee, a coffee company founded by veterans of the US military, were in charge of recondition the interior of the Tesla Model XR556 to transform it into a militarized one with two powerful machine guns coming out of the “falcon wings” or “falcon wings” style doors.

In the clip, about 20 minutes long, they show how they redesigned the entire cover of a Tesla Model X, giving it a military style and extra protection against bullets, like armored glass.

The important thing, apparently, is not in the chassis, but in its interior. The rear seats were removed and replaced by a module that integrates two two Profense PF 556 mini-machine guns that can fire 8000 rounds per minute.

The rotating barrels of the Tesla Model X can fire 8,000 rounds per minute.

This model has an effective range of 900 meters and has a variable speed weapon control unit (GCU), the same that operates in light vehicles, naval vessels, airplanes, drones, and now, the Tesla Model X.

But not everything that abounds in this particular vehicle is designed for combat. The Tesla Model X has integrated a system for preparing coffees which includes a Marzocco GS3 coffee maker. Of course, it is not connected to the car system, and depends on a portable battery system.

As if that were not enough, the Tesla Model X also has a coffee maker. As if that were not enough, the Tesla Model X also has a coffee maker.

Fortunately, this extravagant edition is not for sale at the moment, and obviously it would not pass a homologation process in the United States either.

The obsession with transforming a Tesla into a kind of “tank” notably different from the concept that Elon Musk devised, but so far a military approach had not been seen. The immediate antecedent in this kind of transformation process was carried out by the Swedish youtuber Simone Giertz with a Tesla Model 3 which was altered into a pickup truck.

The case of the war robot dog

The mechanical dog of the company Ghost Robotic is another product developed to fulfill the function of surveillance and reconnaissance that was reconverted into an instrument of war. It was presented in October at the annual conference of the Association of the United States Army.

The Vision 60 unit was equipped with a SPUR or “Special Purpose Unmanned Rifle” mounted by small arms specialists Sword International.

The Vision 60 robot dog has a machine gun mounted on one end. The Vision 60 robot dog has a machine gun mounted on one end.

Its features include a 30x optical zoom, like many cell phones today, and a thermal camera to point in the dark with an effective range of 1200 meters.

Last year, the 325th Security Forces Squadron at Tyndall Air Force Base in Florida became the first Defense Department unit to use quadruped robots in regular operations.

What is still unknown is whether Sword International or Ghost Robotics will begin marketing this robot and machine gun combination. However, both companies have already started promoting it: “SWORD Defense Systems SPUR is the future of unmanned weapons systems, and that future is now.”
