Nubia, ZTE’s ‘gaming’ brand, has presented this Thursday in China its latest series of mobile phones specialized in ‘gaming’, the Red Magic 7 family, with a standard model and another Pro in which the fast charging function arrives up to 135 watts (W) and in which the front camera works under the screen.
The new Nubia Red Magic 7 has in both versions Qualcomm’s highest-end processor, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, as well as the UFS 3.1 storage system and RAM memory using LPDDR5 technology, as reported by Nubia on its China website.
The standard version of the Nubia terminal is equipped with a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 165 hertz (Hz) and 720 Hz touch sampling.
The Pro model differs especially by reaching a sampling rate of 960 Hz, although the refresh rate is reduced to 120 Hz, and because the front camera is below the panel, as the brand had previously revealed.
The battery differs in both versions: the Red Magic 7 Pro model has a capacity of 5,000 mAh and a fast charge of 135W that allows it to be completed in 15 minutes; while the standard Red Magic 7 has a 4,500mAh battery with 120W fast charging that charges to 100% in 17 minutes. They are sold with a 165W charger based on gallium nitrate.
The family of ‘smartphones’ includes functions aimed at use in video games, such as two capacitive buttons located on the side, with a touch frequency of 500 Hz, as well as a new version of its operating system customization layer, REDMAGIC OS 5.0.
Added to this is the Arc system to improve gaming performance by up to 120 percent, while the Red Magic 7 Pro features a self-developed, gaming-focused standalone processor, Red Core 1, with additional haptic feedback capabilities. , RGB lighting and stereo speakers.
To regulate the temperature of the device, Nubia Red Magic 7 uses an ICE 8.0 system, with an internal centrifugal fan that runs at 20,000 revolutions per minute (rpm), which increases airflow by 30 percent and reduces noise in 40 percent. It is complemented by liquid cooling
The Nubia Red Magic 7 family is sold in China for a price that, in the standard model, starts at 3,899 yuan (541 euros at the current exchange rate) for the 8+128GB version, although it reaches 16+512GB. Red Magic 7 Pro starts at 4,799 yuan (666 euros), although there are versions that reach 16 + 256GB.
