France has been “very uncooperative” in Iran. This is the accusation made this Tuesday by American President Donald Trump.
In a message posted on his Truth Social network at 1:20 p.m. French time, or 7:20 a.m. in Washington, the tenant of the White House criticizes: “France has not authorized planes destined for Israel, loaded with military equipment, to fly over its territory.” He adds that “France has shown itself to be VERY UNCOOPERATIVE in the face of butcher of Iranwhich was successfully eliminated! »
It is unclear at this time what President Trump is referring to. So far, only Spain has formalized its refusal of the war in Iran by banning its military bases and its airspace to American military planes.
He concludes his post with a martial “the United States will remember” followed by three exclamation points, and signs the message with his initials DJT to clearly indicate that he is personally the author.
A few minutes earlier, the Republican president had attacked countries “like the United Kingdom” which are suffering from Iran’s blockage of the Strait of Hormuz. “I have a suggestion: first, buy from the United States, we have it in abundance; secondly, take your courage in both hands, go to the strait and take it. You will have to learn to defend yourself, the United States will no longer be there to help you, just like you were not there for us. (…) Go get your own oil,” he thunders on Truth Social.
