Greece is pushing ahead with the modernization of its armed forces and has purchased an Israeli rocket artillery system. The relevant contract for the procurement of the PULS (Precise & Universal Launching System) system was signed on Monday in Athens, the Ministry of Defense announced.
According to information from Greek military circles, missiles with different ranges from 35 to 300 kilometers are to be delivered. Guided weapons are also part of the package. Information on the total value of the deal was not initially provided.
Greece and Israel are working increasingly closely together in the military and armaments sector. The background is also the tense relations between both states and Türkiye in the Eastern Mediterranean.
