The IDF confirmed that the largest petrochemical complex in southern Iran was attacked

The Israeli Air Force, in cooperation with military intelligence, attacked the infrastructure of Iran’s largest petrochemical complex in the Asaluyeh region.

The army said the complex produced chemicals that were supplied to regime forces, including the Ministry of Nuclear Affairs and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and used to make explosives and ballistic missile fuel.

The IDF reported that more than 85% of Iran’s petrochemical exports have been knocked out of service since the start of the war. The army stressed that the purpose of the operations is to cause long-term damage to the Iranian regime’s production capacity and significantly weaken its economic potential.
