Trump: “Iran has announced that the strait is open. Thank you!”

Trump stressed that the U.S. naval blockade of Iran-related ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz will remain in place despite Iran’s announcement of the opening of the canal.

“The Strait of Hormuz is fully open and ready for business and unimpeded passage, but the naval blockade will remain in place on Iran until our deal with Iran is fully completed,” Trump wrote.

“This process should go very quickly, since most of the points have already been agreed upon,” he said.
