Božinović on the arrests due to bomb threats: ‘Because of the punishment, they won’t even try it again’

– It doesn’t matter if the person is a minor or an adult. The problem is that many Croatian citizens found themselves in a situation they did not expect. The citizens reacted well, they listened to the advice of the institutions, but the problem here was actually to create fear, not to say panic, and that did not happen – said Bo&zcaronović in Borovo after commemorating the 35th anniversary of the murder of 12 members of the Vinkovci Special Police.

He emphasized that it is important to send a very clear message that this is unacceptable behavior, above all to those who may be planning similar actions in the future.

– It will not pay off for them, and the punishment and the response of the legal state and the response of the Croatian state in its entirety will be such that it should not occur to them anymore – said Božinović.

He also reported that the investigative judges in Split and Zagreb are the judges. made decisions on detaining the suspect for 30 days, while one juvenile was ordered to report to the social service, stressing that the police, in coordination with the attorney’s office, assessed that the word about serious crimes.

Speaking about the arrest of the former director of the Croatian Ski Association Vedran Pavlek in Kazakhstan, Božinović has confirmed that the extradition procedure has started and that it is taking place according to the strict rules of international law.

– It was a very high-quality operational cooperation that resulted in an arrest – he said and clarified that the communication between the states and the prosecutor’s office is conducted according to the foreseen protocols, which includes the transfer of evidentiary equipment that should reach Croatia.

Božinović also commented on the seizure of 13.5 kilograms of cocaine at the Bajakovo border crossing and praised the work of the Vukovar-Srijem police, as well as the officers in Šibenik and Zagreb who seized an additional 11 kilograms of cocaine and 50 kilograms of amphetamines in the past two days.
