Iranian source: American proposal contains “unacceptable points”

The Iranian Tasnim agency reported, citing an informed source, that Tehran has not yet given an official response to the latest American proposal, which, according to the Iranian side, contains “unacceptable points.”

The source also denied American media reports that the parties are close to agreeing on a memorandum to end the war.

According to the source, after Iran conveyed its 14-point proposals through a Pakistani mediator, the American side sent a counter draft. Tehran began studying it, but due to the US attempt to use force to “open” the Strait of Hormuz, the process was suspended. Iran resumed consideration of the proposal “after Trump’s retreat.” Tehran will convey its response to the mediators. The source added that “the language of force and threats not only has no effect on Iran, but also worsens the situation for the Americans themselves.”
