Another case of election bribery attributed to “Strong Armenia”.

The anti-corruption committee is informed about another election bribery case attributed to the “Strong Armenia” party.

Criminal proceedings were initiated in the Anti-corruption Committee regarding the case, a number of persons were arrested, and searches were carried out. The anti-corruption agency does not reveal how many people it has arrested and who they are.

According to the report, factual information was received that the regional representative of Ani community of Shirak Marz of “Strong Armenia”, together with his close relatives and other persons, promised a number of voters on the condition that they would vote for their party in the NA elections to be held on June 7, and also gave electoral bribes under the name of framing them as responsible or activists in the regional offices of the party. It is noted that the money was presented as salary.

In addition, according to the law enforcement officers, the person acting on behalf of the “Strong Armenia” party tried to prevent the free exercise of the electoral right of a number of citizens, by means of materially benefiting them, as well as through threats issued on behalf of persons with the highest status in the criminal hierarchy.

Despite the increasing number of criminal cases, Samvel Karapetyan yesterday denied the claims of law enforcement officers about distributing money.
