Because of false statements: Public prosecutor initiates proceedings against Fabian’s father

Rostock (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern) – This announcement from the public prosecutor’s office hits like a bomb! Trials against Gina H. (30) have been going on at the Rostock regional court for a good two weeks. She should have the little one Fabian (8) from Güstrow stabbed and burned – to win his father back. And it is precisely this man, Matthias R. (35), who is now being targeted by the public prosecutor. The authorities have initiated proceedings against the man on suspicion of making false statements!

Father has a romantic relationship with Gina H. again.

Indeed, the man’s demeanor in court was strange. He flirted with the defendant, who is said to have murdered his son. He visited her in prison. As he testified at the trial, he is even dating Gina H. again. And the prosecutor finds even more strange about the father’s behavior.

Senior public prosecutor Harald Nowack: “After the witness statement, we received a lot of emails. There was little comprehension for everyone. how a witness changes his testimony in such a wayvaries. It is also difficult to understand why a victim’s father would not look at the files, even though he would have the opportunity to do so as a co-plaintiff. It is even less comprehensible that the victim’s father has a new relationship with the defendant.”

Prosecutor: The defendant’s calculations worked out

Nowack cannot explain the reasons for this new, sparked relationship, but is sure that she had a motive to get Fabian out of the way. Nowack: “She wanted to rebuild the relationship and she definitely wanted this witness to have no more contact with the mother. We still know that the defendant is a very impatient person.”

Within three days of the boy’s disappearance, Gina H. sent around 90 voice messages to Matthias R.. According to Nowack, most of them were about “the witness should come to her and seek comfort from her.” The senior public prosecutor continued: “Your calculations were completely successful. All goals were achieved. There are some points that were demonstrably false by the witness, and we have therefore initiated proceedings against him on suspicion of making false statements.”

Prosecutor Oliver Schley added in a statement: “The defendant apparently managed to influence the witness (Fabian’s father, editor’s note) so that the witness is firmly convinced of the defendant’s innocence. The witness is obviously not interested in objectively finding out the truth.”

Andreas Ohm, defense attorney for the defendants, said of the public prosecutor’s announcement: “It is the case that both had feelings for each other. It was a two-way street.”
