Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin denied the information spread in some Armenian media about the alleged activities of Russian diplomats against the interests of Armenia.
According to Galuzin, such publications “do not correspond to reality” and are a slander that contributes to the spread of “espionage mania” against Russia.
The Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia said that in some publications facts are attributed to Armenian politicians that “never happened”. As an example, Galuzin mentioned the information about Narek Karapetyan, claiming that he never had Russian citizenship.
Despite the denial of Narek Karapetyan, the candidate of the “Strong Armenia” alliance, that he is not a citizen of Russia and has no citizenship of any other country besides Armenian citizenship, today the law enforcement officers announced that a criminal case has been initiated under the article of concealing information that hinders obtaining or maintaining the status of an official.
