Trump announced that the agreement with Iran is “completely signed”, the text will be published soon

“The deal has already been fully signed. And the strait has already partially opened,” said Donald Trump upon arriving in France, where he is participating in the G7 summit.

The official signing ceremony of the agreement will take place on Friday in Geneva.

When asked when the text of the memorandum will be published, Trump answered: “Probably very soon. I would say sometime after Friday…I think in the very near future.”

Chuck Schumer, the Democratic leader in the Senate, called on Donald Trump to make public the details of the agreement and inform Congress about it.

“The American people deserve details and full transparency. what is really hidden in this ‘understanding,’” Schumer asked.

Iran’s deputy foreign minister said that it was possible to reach an agreement only after 15 hours of negotiations yesterday with Qatari representatives in Tehran. Kazem Gharibabadi told the state TV station that the agreement “declares an immediate and permanent ceasefire on all fronts of the war, including Lebanon”, and nuclear issues will be discussed within 60 days after the signing, he added.

The spokesperson of the Iranian Foreign Ministry also stated that respect for Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity are part of the agreement with the US. The agreement will not be sustainable if Lebanon’s security is threatened, warned Esmail Bagha. This agreement in no way means that Tehran will forget or forgive the crimes committed against the Iranian people, he added.

Iran-backed Hezbollah welcomed the deal, saying Lebanon’s inclusion reflected Iran’s commitment to ending the war.
