Football World Cup: England threatens to lose defender duo against Congo

England’s German coach Thomas Tuchel will most likely have to do without Reece James and Jarell Quansah in the round of 16 against DR Congo at the World Cup. The full-back duo was unable to take part in the final training session in Kansas City due to injury and is in danger of missing the game this Wednesday (6 p.m. CET) in Atlanta.

In terms of personnel, Tuchel is now starting to get tight in the right-back position. Before the start of the World Cup, Tino Livramento had to miss the game due to an injury. Nevertheless, the Three Lions go into the duel with Congo as clear favorites. Especially since midfield strategist Declan Rice will be back in the starting line-up.
