A Hamas delegation has gone to Cairo; supplies of construction materials are also being discussed.

A Hamas delegation, led by the head of the group in the West Bank, Zaher Jabareen, arrived on the morning of June 30 in Cairo for negotiations on the implementation of an agreement to resolve the situation in the Gaza Strip.

Hamas spokesman Taher al-Nunu said the delegation would meet with Egyptian mediators. “The main issue on the agenda will be stopping the Israeli escalation and ensuring access to the sector of everything necessary, including materials to rebuild hospitals and infrastructure,” he said.

Let us note that for many years Hamas has used construction materials supplied to Gaza for civilian needs to build terrorist infrastructure, including tunnels. Terrorist command posts were often located under hospitals.

According to the group’s representative, the negotiations will also cover the second stage of the plan, the withdrawal of Israeli troops from the strip, the entry of international forces and the start of the work of the committee for the management of Gaza, the Maan agency reports.
