Australian Prime Minister apologizes for saying he wanted to “fuck” Kylie Minogue

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has apologized for comments he made last week during an interview with the popular Deep Bush podcast, the BBC reports.

During the 20-minute conversation, the host, comedian Nikki Osbourne, asked him who he would like to “fuck, marry and date”, naming singer Kylie Minogue, actress Nicole Kidman or another actress – Rhonda Burchmore. The politician tried to avoid answering by reminding him that he had recently gotten married. The presenter asked, what if he weren’t married? “Of course, Kylie,” replied the head of government.

The statement caused widespread outrage both in the media and in the political system. The head of government was accused of disrespecting women, calling such behavior unacceptable for the head of government. Albanese had to issue an apology.

Osborne became famous for her comic videos on YouTube, where she does not mince words. What followed was a podcast – Nikki calls herself “an extremely shameless journalist, asking questions that others don’t dare ask.”

The incident highlights the problems faced by traditional school politicians who try to attract youth audiences through new media. The rules of the game for these media catch them by surprise time after time.
