Argentina has accused a British warship of illegally entering its waters, just a few hours after the victory against England in the semi-finals of the World Cup, writes the Independent.
In a statement issued Wednesday night, Pablo Quirno, Argentina’s foreign minister, accused the Royal Navy of a “military incursion” into Argentine waters.

He claimed that HMS Medway had entered Argentine waters earlier in July without official notification to the government. In his statement, he stated that an “official protest note” was delivered to the British embassy in order to express the “strongest objection” to that procedure.
After the referee’s final whistle, during the celebration, several Argentine national team members unfurled a banner on which the Falkland Islands, which Argentina calls the Malvinas (Las Malvinas), are shown as Argentine territory.
Piers Morgan also announced himself, who criticized the Argentinians and hopes that Spain will beat them.
