Pashinyan and Merts referred to the peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had a telephone conversation with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. They referred to the peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan, emphasizing the importance of stable and lasting peace in the region.

They exchanged ideas on topical issues of the regional and international agenda.

Pashinyan and Merts referred to the prospects of the consistent development of bilateral cooperation between Armenia and Germany, as well as the further deepening of the Armenia-European Union partnership.

The telephone conversation between Nikol Pashinyan and Friedrich Mertz follows Mertz’s meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Berlin yesterday. After the meeting, the German chancellor announced at a joint press conference: “The South Caucasus is beginning to gain greater importance as a region connecting Europe and Asia.”
