The peace council that is responsible for the plan for the future of the Gaza Strip published today (Friday) a “roadmap” for the implementation of President Donald Trump’s peace plan.   • A comprehensive financial audit will be carried out by the committee, which will manage the public resources in the Strip.
  • Her role will be to examine and settle financial obligations to suppliers and contractors in the amount of up to 400 million dollars, over three years.
  • A detailed schedule and implementation mechanisms for the road map will be published within 14 days from the moment of approval by both parties. This period can be extended with the approval of the International Verification Committee.
  • After the schedule is completed and the implementation mechanisms of the agreement are announced, the Gaza Management Committee (NCAG) will enter the Gaza Strip – and begin to fulfill its responsibilities.

• • The Gaza Strip will be governed according to the principle of “one authority, one law, one weapon”. All weapons in the hands of the police will be transferred to the authority of the National Committee, and all police personnel will undergo a comprehensive screening procedure while maintaining their rights.

  • An Israeli source familiar with the discussions told CNN that Prime Minister Netanyahu is not expected to publicly oppose the disarmament agreement, because he “estimates that Hamas will eventually violate its terms and not fulfill its obligations”.
