Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu to visit Israel in May

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said in a TV interview that he would visit Israel in May 2022. Turkish Energy Minister Fatih Donmez will also take part in the visit.

According to the head of the Turkish Foreign Ministry, the purpose of the visit will be to reach an agreement on the return of the Israeli ambassador to Turkey and the Turkish ambassador to Israel. Another topic to be discussed is the construction of a joint gas pipeline. However, according to Cavusoglu, the construction of the pipeline will take a lot of time.

On March 9, Israeli President Yitzhak Herzog visited Ankara and held talks with Turkish President Relzep Tayyip Erdogan.
