Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov blames Ukraine for what happened in Bushan – Abroad

Russia blames Ukraine for the killings of hundreds of civilians in the suburb of Bashan, northwest of Kiev.

Death raised a storm of protests over the weekend around the world.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Monday that a “fake attack” has taken place in Bocha on the back of “Ukraine ‘s attempt to weaken Moscow”. The matter was reported by the Russian state news agency TASS and reported by Reuters.

According to Lavrov, Western countries and Ukraine have disseminated images of “staged corpses” on social media. Lavrov stressed that the “wrong version of Ukraine” has spread to the world.

Lavrov also called on Britain, which will hold the presidency of the UN Security Council in April, “to fulfill its responsibilities in this role”. Britain had previously rejected Russia’s request to convene a meeting on the events in Bushan.

Ukrainian authorities said on Sunday they would launch a formal investigation into possible crimes by Russian troops.
