Russian Defense Ministry announces “staged filming of allegedly dead” in Ukraine

The official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Major General Igor Konashenkov, at a briefing on the morning of April 5, reported on the successes of the pro-Russian forces and the Russian army waging war against Ukraine.

“On the evening of April 4, sea-based high-precision long-range weapons near the city of Ochakiv destroyed the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces Training Center, which was used, among other things, to accommodate foreign mercenaries. Air-based high-precision missiles destroyed four fuel storage facilities to supply groups of Ukrainian troops in the areas of Kremenets settlements, Cherkasy, Zaporizhzhya and Novomoskovsk.During the night, operational-tactical aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces and missile forces hit 134 military facilities of Ukraine, including: eight command posts and communication centers, one radar for illumination and guidance of the S-300 anti-aircraft missile system, one missile launcher of the Tochka-U complex, six ammunition depots and two fuel depots, as well as 85 strongholds and areas where Ukrainian military equipment is concentrated. Aevka, Industrialnaya, Gurty and Nizhnyaya Krynka,” the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

“In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, the following have been destroyed: 125 aircraft, 91 helicopters, 398 unmanned aerial vehicles, 226 anti-aircraft missile systems, 1969 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 214 multiple launch rocket systems, 852 field artillery and mortar guns, as well as 1873 units of special military vehicles,” Konashenkov says.

According to many military experts, the number of “destroyed” Ukrainian military equipment, indicated in the reports of the Russian Defense Ministry, already in a number of parameters exceeds the real military potential of Ukraine at the beginning of the war. This causes distrust in the reports of the Russian defense department, especially against the background of the ongoing resistance of the Ukrainian army.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation does not publish new information about the losses of the Russian military today.

Konashenkov concluded his speech with the following statement: “According to confirmed information, on the evening of April 4, in the village of Moshchun, 23 kilometers northwest of Kyiv, servicemen of the 72nd Ukrainian main psychological operations center conducted another staged filming of civilians allegedly killed by the violent actions of the Russian armed forces. for subsequent distribution through the Western media. Similar events are now organized by the Ukrainian special services in Sumy, Konotop and other cities.”

It should be noted that the Russian authorities categorically deny the involvement of the Russian military in the massacres of civilians in Ukraine. In turn, the Ukrainian side presented a lot of documentary evidence of such war crimes. In addition, the facts of mass killings of Ukrainian civilians in the regions that were occupied by the Russian army are confirmed by experts who visited the areas liberated by the Ukrainian army and studied the available photographs (including satellite images), videos and witness statements. The investigation into the facts of massacres of Ukrainian civilians continues.
