A person sets himself on fire in front of the court where Trump is being tried

A man tried to set himself on fire this Friday in front of the New York court where Donald Trump is being tried, for reasons that are still unknown, local media reported.

The man transformed into a human torch before the police arrived and used a fire extinguisher to contain the flames, according to CNN television.

The authorities managed to extinguish the fire after the jury had been selected and the substitutes in the case against Trump for illegal financing.

In several videos circulating on social networks you can see a person lying on the ground on fire. Afterwards, several people rushed to put out the flames with a fire extinguisher.

The emergency services, minutes later, hurriedly took the injured man on a stretcher.

The entire jury in the Trump case to try to buy silence, with 12 people and six substitutes had been selected just minutes before. The start of the first criminal trial of a former president of the United States is getting closer and closer.

The fire occurred in a park across the street from the courthouse which has been a meeting point for protesters and media outlets covering jury selection for the Trump trial.
