Woman summons 9 members of Russian Security Council for questioning, including Medvedev, Shoigu

The Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine suspects 9 members of the Security Council of Russia of encroaching on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine. They were summoned for questioning.

The notification documents were published on the website of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine. The name of Vladimir Putin is not in the list of interrogated persons. Instead, Ukrainian law enforcement wants to interrogate Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council, Sergei Shoigu, Minister of Defense, Vyacheslav Volodin, Speaker of the State Duma, Valentina Matvienko, Chairman of the Service, Minister of the Interior Sergei Naryshkin նախագահի Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the Central Federal District Igor Shchegol։.

The Security Council of the Russian Federation has been functioning since 1992, the members of the Council are appointed by the President. The Security Council has 12 permanent members, and 17 work on a non-permanent basis.

According to the Russian Law on Security, the main function of this structure is to prepare the President’s decisions in the field of security.
