Vietnam Airlines operates more than 28,000 domestic flights during the summer peak

According to the plan, Vietnam Airlines Group will operate 28,300 domestic flights with nearly 5.5 million seats, an increase of 5% in number of flights and 3% in number of seats compared to the same period last year. The additional flights are concentrated on routes connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with tourist destinations such as Da Nang, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, Hue, Quy Nhon, and localities with great travel demand such as Buon Ma Thuot, Vinh, and Can Tho.

Besides peak hours, airlines continue to operate early morning and late evening flights with flexible prices. According to the company, this is also a solution to help spread demand during the day and improve exploitation efficiency during the summer.

Along with that, the airline opened many tickets for sale at preferential prices with the number accounting for 40% of the seats available for sale on many routes.

Vietnam Airlines also launches many promotional programs on online sales channels. Quick Sale App program applies every Tuesday with a discount of up to 10%; Brilliant Thursday program offers up to 15% discount while Weekend Sale offers up to 10% discount on all ticket classes.

According to the airline representative, to serve the summer peak, right from the beginning of the season, Vietnam Airlines Group has prepared resources, proactively arranged aircraft, personnel and improved service capacity at the airport. The company also enhances the application of technology in operating operations to ensure service quality and punctuality rate.

Regarding the international flight network, Vietnam Airlines continues to expand operations in key markets. In the near future, the airline will put into operation the direct route Ho Chi Minh City – Phuket, launch the Hanoi – Amsterdam route from June and increase the frequency of the Hanoi – Moscow route to 4 flights per week from July 1.

The airline recommends that passengers proactively plan and book tickets early through the website, mobile applications and agents to have more choices in itinerary and ticket prices. Customers can also check in online within 24 hours before departure via the website, Vietnam Airlines application, airport kiosk or the “Airline Services” feature on VNeID level 2 application.
