UAE hotels are competing for guests during the Eid holiday

Managers and workers in the country’s hotels expected that the occupancy of hotel rooms during the Eid al-Fitr holiday would exceed 95%, thanks to active domestic tourism by citizens and residents of the country, in addition to the arrival of guests and tourists from the Gulf countries, especially from Saudi Arabia and Oman, and attracting tourist groups. They explained that hotels were quick to offer various offers that include discounts ranging between 20-25% on eating food and drinks, and using facilities and services in hotels.

They expressed their expectations that hotels will continue to achieve positive performance during the Eid period and beyond, thanks to the country’s embrace of many events, activities and exhibitions, which attract many participants and attendees.

Murshid Al Shamsi, Director of Ceremonies at Bab Al Qasr Hotel – Abu Dhabi, said: “We expect the hotel to record record occupancy ranging between 85-90% during the Eid Al Fitr holiday, and we have noticed that demand is high from Gulf tourism, especially from Saudi Arabia and Oman.”

Amr Najah – General Manager of Swissotel Al Murouj Hotel, says: “The tourism sector witnessed a major boom during the first quarter of this year in terms of occupancy and demand, and the events and activities that Dubai witnessed helped attract investors and visitors alike. He points out that the expected occupancy rate will exceed 97% in the group’s hotels in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Ras Al Khaimah.
