Netanyahu warns Iran that Israel will “respond forcefully” if it “makes the mistake” of attacking again

The Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, confirmed this Monday the cessation of attacks on Iran, although he warned that Israel “will respond forcefully” if it “makes the mistake” of attacking again after Tehran has announced the end of its attacks, promising “measures” if the country continues its “aggressions” in Lebanon.

“At this moment the fire on this front is contained (…) If the regime makes a mistake and attacks us again, we will respond forcefully because Israel has the full right to self-defense,” the prime minister indicated during an appearance collected by his office on social networks.

Netanyahu has stressed, however, that the “fight” against the Shiite militia-party and Iran “is not over yet.” “They thought they would shoot from Lebanese and Iranian territory against Israel and that we would not react. It did not happen and will not happen, at least not while I am in command,” he argued.

Netanyahu has further stated that Iran and Hezbollah “are weaker than ever,” while Israel is “stronger than ever.” “I firmly defend our right to act against our enemy,” he said, insisting again that Tehran “will never have nuclear weapons.”

The Iranian Armed Forces announced this Monday the end of their attacks against Israel, after launching missiles in response to the bombing carried out on Sunday by the Israeli Army against the capital of Lebanon, Beirut, although it has promised “much harsher and crushing measures” if Israel “continues its aggressions”, also in Lebanese territory.
