The Turkish drone company Baykar signed a cooperation agreement with the presidency of the “Exiled Turks and Related Communities” (YTB) to support Palestinian students who wish to acquire higher education in Turkey, under the “Turkey Scholarships” program. The leading person in the Turkish company of the move is Baykar’s VP of Technology and son-in-law of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Selcuk Bayrakter. “May God bless all those who help our Palestinian brothers and sisters,” Bayrakter said.

Beykar was Turkey’s largest defense exporter last year, with $2.2 billion. Most of the sales were for UAVs of the Beyrakter series: TB2 and Akinji. For the purpose of comparison, Aslasan was ranked second with approximately $2.01 billion, and Turkish Aerospace Industries was third (approximately $1.8 billion). In 2025, Beykar’s exports accounted for approximately 22% of all Turkish defense exports, while sales outside the country accounted for approximately 88% of the company’s revenues.

The defense sales celebration in which Israeli companies take part

India’s defense exports jumped from about 110 million dollars in 2014 to about 4.4 billion dollars in the fiscal year 2025-2026. This was announced by Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, who stated that New Delhi’s goal is to increase exports by an additional 25% within two to three years. This is excellent news for the Israeli defense companies, which have long since become significant partners in the Indian defense industry.

Elbit Systems for example, produces with the Adani Corporation the Drishti 100 Starliner UAV, the first Indian-made UAV of medium height and long endurance. The production of the UAV, similar to other Israeli-Indian projects, is aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Make in India vision, which aims to transfer production lines and technology in all fields into his country. In the case of the Aerospace Industry, the Indians, among other things, participate in the production of the Barak air defense system.

At the same time, the Indians continue to make huge purchases from the Israeli defense industries of products of immediate need. Last December, for example, the Director of Indian Defense Procurement (DAC) approved the purchase of extensive equipment for a total of approximately 8.7 billion dollars, with one of the many components included in the deal being SPICE 1000 model guidance kits (SPICE 1000/Bard Kal) manufactured by Rafael. Spice is a family of accurate and autonomous air-ground weapon systems, with a range of up to 100 km, which consists of three types of bombs of different weights.

Spice 1000 weighs about 500 kg, while the entire system, which was developed at Rafael, won the Israel Defense Prize. The uniqueness of the Spice family is their ability to navigate and target the target autonomously, independent of GPS – using an electro-optic homing head in which an innovative mathematical algorithm is integrated, which compares the image of the target to what it sees in real time – and thus it reaches extremely high hit accuracy of less than three meters.

Britain’s major UAV supply program for Ukraine

Britain has decided to expand security aid to Ukraine with the supply of about 150,000 unmanned aerial vehicles, more than 350 air defense interceptors, and radar systems by the end of 2026. The aid amounting to about 995 million dollars is intended to help Kiev deal with the prolonged missile and drone attacks by Russia, which has greater economic and industrial capabilities to deal with the war that has been going on since February 2022.

The financing of the amount will come from the British financial aid accelerator program in the amount of about 2.9 billion dollars. The project was created for the purpose of creating a ready loan fund for Ukrainians, with the understanding that assistance is needed quickly. On the other hand, if prolonged cabinet work is required only after the requests, then the help will not arrive in time – and Ukraine will find itself even more vulnerable.

According to estimates, Ukraine loses thousands of UAVs every month due to operational use as roving weapons, as a result of Russian electronic warfare, or from the very fact of the current operation. There is also a distinct British economic benefit to British aid, since in the matter of air defense, for example, the one who wins the contract for more than 350 interceptors is the company Thales UK.
