Turkey is estimated to have grown by 3.3 percent in the second quarter

Economists predict that the gross domestic product (GDP) will increase by 3.32 percent in the second quarter of 2023.

The expectation survey of AA Finans for the second quarter GDP data of 2023, which will be announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) on Thursday, August 31, resulted in the participation of 23 economists.

According to the survey results, economists estimate that the Turkish economy grew by 3.32 percent in the second quarter of this year. The growth expectations of the economists participating in the survey for the second quarter of 2023 were between 1.2 percent and 5.3 percent.

The average of economists’ growth expectations for the end of 2023 was 3.67 percent. Estimates for the said expectation were between 2.4 percent and 4.5 percent.

The Turkish economy grew by 7.8 percent in the same quarter of last year and by 4.0 percent in the first quarter of 202.
