EU foreign policy chief Joseph Borrell said on March 27 that European countries could soon cut off gas supplies to Russia.
“In two years, Europe will give up Russian gas,” Borrell told Sky News Arabia.
At the same time, the High Representative of the European Union noted that European countries are trying to diversify sources of natural fuel imports, reduce dependence on Russian energy, “but not to ban them.”
Joseph Borrell also said that Europe wants to create a special army that should respond to common challenges.
According to the High Representative, Europe is facing an unprecedented difficulty – a wave of millions of refugees from Ukraine.
Josep Borrell noted that “the burden of meeting the needs of refugees will be shared by all European countries.”
