Dragan Šolak new owner of Southampton

Serbian businessman Dragan Šolak became the new owner of the English football club Southampton, after a contract of 100,000,000 pounds was signed for the purchase of this Premier League, Sky Sport reported today.

Sholak is believed to be behind the new holding company, which will try to include clubs from other international leagues.

Rasmus Ankersen, a former Brentford co-director, and Henrik Kraft, a London-based investor, are also involved in the takeover of Southampton.

So far, the majority owner of Southampton was the Chinese businessman Ga Yisheng, who bought an 80% stake in the club in 2017.

This is the first agreement approved by the Premier League since former Sports Minister Tracy Crouch called for more rigorous control of club takeovers.

Southampton still do not want to comment on this issue.
