The new Mic Mini 2S wireless microphone debuts internal recording and offers autonomy of up to 28 hours

DJI has presented Mic Mini 2S, its new wireless microphone that is characterized by its more compact format and for being the first to add internal recording capability, so that the creators can reliably capture audio.

The company, also known for its pocket cameras such as the new Osmo Pocket 4P presented a few days ago, has expanded its family of wireless microphones this Tuesday, with the launch in Spain of a new model based on the DJI Mic Mini 2.

This is the Mic Mini 2S and, among all its features, DJI has highlighted its 32-bit floating internal recording, which has been introduced for the first time and allows handling dynamic sound levels in post-production, with autonomy for up to 28 hours of recording.

Likewise, as stated in a statement, it has 4 TX + 1 RX connectivity between generations (that is, four microphones that are connected to a receiver at the same time) and two levels of noise cancellation that will be adapted according to the needs of the user or creator.

Likewise, another detail of this new DJI device is its ability to capture everything from whispers to roars sudden no clipping (that is, when a signal exceeds the maximum volume limit).

When it comes to recording clear voices, the Mic Mini 2S offers two levels of adaptation. Basic level reduces background sounds indoors, and the intense one is dedicated to managing outdoor noise. In fact, three voice tone presets are offered with ‘Regular’ for balanced audio, ‘Bright’ for clarity and ‘Loud’ for a warmer tone.

With all this, the new DJI wireless microphone is capable of offering high quality recording both in solo captures and in interviews on the street or podcasts with several people.

DJI’s new microphone is compatible with previous generations such as Mic Mini and Mic Mini 2 as well as the DJI Mic series mobile receiver.

In addition, each transmitter has about 14.5 GB of built-in storage, this It weighs about 12 g and supports different fastening options with clip or magnetic. Likewise, it can be personalized with up to eight multicolor magnetic front covers (although these are sold separately like the one designed by illustrator Victo Ngai, at a cost of 19 euros).

In addition to compatibility with previous microphones, DJI Mic Mini 2S can be connect with Osmo Pocket 4P, Osmo Pocket 4, Osmo 360, Osmo Nano and Osmo Action 6, and the transmitters can send audio in 48 kHz and 24-bit quality.
