The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced another interception of a ballistic missile launched from Iran.
The report states that the threat was neutralized by NATO air defense forces deployed in the Eastern Mediterranean. This was reported by the Turkish Anadolu Agency.
This is not the first attempt to fire rockets at Turkey from Iran since late February. Previously, similar incidents were recorded on March 4, 9 and 13. Rocket debris fell in uninhabited areas of Hatay and Gaziantep provinces in southeastern Turkey; there were no casualties as a result of the shelling. Ankara has stated each time that it will take all necessary measures to protect its territory and airspace.
