ISS astronauts transferred to the SpaceX Crew Dragon due to an air leak in the Russian module

NASA on Friday, June 5, ordered five astronauts working on the International Space Station to take shelter in a docked SpaceX ship until two Russian cosmonauts repair a new air leak in their station module, the Air Force reported.

They did not have to hide for long: soon the astronauts suspended repairs, and their colleagues returned to the station.

In a statement announcing the transition to the docked spacecraft, the US aerospace agency explained that the station had worsened a leak in the intermediate chamber of the Russian Zvezda module. The statement said the problem had existed for some time and Roscosmos had been addressing it through partial repairs and other means.

Roscosmos, in a separate statement, assured that nothing threatens the ISS crew.
