No fish was exported, but 2 fish producing companies came under Russian sanctions

“After licensing the import of these 2 companies to the Russian Federation, these companies did not export any batch,” Anush Harutyunyan, spokesperson of the Food Safety Inspection of Armenia, told Azat.

After carrying out inspections last month, Russian specialists allowed “MF Export” and “Invest Plus” companies to export fish to Russia again. But in fact, later “Rosselkhoznadzor” decided to temporarily stop the certification of the products of these enterprises as well.

If they did not export fish, why were those companies also under sanctions? It is difficult to answer this question from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications.

“You ask me a question for which I don’t have an answer, I can’t say what Russia is guided by, we only know that after licensing those companies, those two organizations did not export any batch,” said the structure’s spokesperson.

Anush Harutyunyan informed that inspections were carried out jointly with the Russian side in 4 enterprises, the results of which were sent to them by the Russian side, after getting acquainted with the results of the performed laboratory examinations and the submitted observations, the SATM will respond to the Russian side.
