The Brazilian influencer fell from the 27th floor of the luxury building – in front of her partner

Kavana Bilhar, a 26-year-old Brazilian influencer living in Dubai, died under tragic circumstances after falling from her apartment on the 27th floor of a luxury building in the city, as reported today (Saturday) in the British “Sun”. Her partner, Barbara Abernets, was inside the apartment at the time of the incident, and later sent another friend a panicked voice message.

According to the report, the police in Dubai opened an investigation, and at this stage did not rule out the possibility that it was a criminal incident. “There are no words that can express how much you are missed,” Kavanagh’s mother wrote in a post on her Instagram account. “Today you are no longer by my side as I dreamed, but you will live inside me forever. I love you to infinity, my girl. Until the day when we can meet again.”

Abernets reportedly sent a voicemail to a friend after the incident asking for help, saying her parents couldn’t find out what happened. The investigators are checking the recording alongside the testimony given by the partner. The forensic experts are examining the scene, and the police are still investigating several directions, including an accident, suicide, murder or gender-based crime. Abernets was the one who notified Bilhar’s family of her death and told the police that the two had been on good terms before the incident.

A few weeks before her death, Bilher posted a photo with a large bouquet of roses and a cat that she apparently received from Abrens. She wrote that her partner brought her “one of the greatest joys in my life”, when she fulfilled her dream of raising a cat: “Thank you for believing in my dreams when I was already afraid to believe. I feel completely whole, happy and even more in love with you.”

Abernets’ Instagram account was disabled after the incident. Bilhar had more than 20,000 followers on the social network, and she posted content about luxury travel, designer brands and life in Dubai.
